1) Install YuKik App

Download the YuKik App from App Store or Google Play using this link or just scan the below QR-Code.

2) Account creation

Install the YuKik App and launch it. If a pop-up message appears about allowing the YuKik App to send notifications, tap on the Allow button. It is mandatory to allow notifications to receive one when an exercice has been processed and results are ready to be viewed in the App.

Tap on the Create an Account button.

Fill in the various fields with your account characteristics. Please note that you must be of legal age to create a YuKik account. If you are not, ask one of your parents to create the user account. Later in the process, you'll be able to create a player account with your own characteristics, including your own date of birth.

Don't forget to check the two checkboxes at the end of the form, then press the Ok, I Valid ! button.

An email verifying your email address is automatically sent. Don't hesitate to check your inbox and make sure it hasn't arrived in your spam folder. You won't be able to authenticate unless you validated your email.

Click on the link sent by email to validate the creation of your account.

Return to the YuKik application, and authenticate yourself with the account you've created.

Tap on the Connect a Sensor button if you have a sensor to pair or tap on the I don't have a sensor button if you want to do the pairing later (then skip the newt part of this article about the pairing and go directly to the setup section).

Note that, there is a link named Buy a device which points to the YuKik website where you could buy a device.

The Use another account link with logout the current user and go back to the login screen. You can use it if you used the wrong account to connect.

The sensor detection process is started and the list of sensors within detection range is displayed. If the process detects only one sensor, it is automatically selected. Otherwise, press the name of the sensor you wish to pair with your account.

The application confirms with a message that the sensor is paired.

Please note: for security reasons, a sensor can only be paired with one user account. If you attempt to pair a sensor with a second account, an error message will be displayed. Don't hesitate to contact YuKik support if you encounter any problems with pairing.

Then press the Next button.

You're now in the settings section of the application and there are 3 steps left before you can use the application. Note that for each of the steps listed, you can modify your choices later in the application.

The first step is to specify the units used in the application. Press the Choose the units button.

You can choose the different units for the information displayed by the application, namely :

- Speeds

- Distances

- Your weight

- Your height

Change the settings if needed, then tap on Validate button to save the changes.

Then tap on the second item named Settings to change some settings of the Yukik App.

It's time to specify which month of the year your soccer season starts. This will be used to display statistics for the entire season.

Change the settings if needed, then tap on Validate button to save the changes.

The final step is to create a player. The player's characteristics (height, weight, age, etc.) will be used by YuKik's algorithms to calculate your result metrics. It's important to specify these values and update them regularly, especially if the player is a child (the player's height and weight are constantly changing).

Tap on the Create a Player button to start the creation process.

Fill in all the details of your player (who may be a minor or not) and don't forget to specify the club you play for. If your club is not listed, contact YuKik support to have it added.

You've now finished configuring your user account and player, as well as the application's settings, and you're now on the application's home page.

On your first visit to certain pages of the application, a wizard is launched to explain the different areas of the current page, and this is the case of the home page.

You are invited to read the information that appears and scroll through the sections using the button or by pressing on part of the shaded area.

You'll find all the account and player information, as weel as the application settings in the Account section, using the button at the bottom right of the main navigation bar.

Finally, we're going to run an initial synchronization with the YuKik sensor in order to update the sensor's firmware. To do this, please go to the Sensor section, using the button in the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.

On this page, you can see the Synchronize button just below the sensor to start the full sync process.

The process includes:

- Verification of the possibility of updating the firmware of the sensor. If there is a new firmware available then you are prompted to upgrade and it stops the full sync process.

- Time setting and adjustment of sensor settings.

- Download of exercises recorded on the sensor.

- Sync of daily activity data (number of steps, heartbeat, rest time).

Tap the Synchronize button to start the process.

If a new firmware is available for your sensor, then a popup message is displayed. Tap on Upgrade to start the upgrade process.

The new firmware is downloaded onto the sensor and you can monitor the download process directly on the sensor display.

As soon as the entire firmware is avaialble on the sensor, it is applied and the sensor screen display nothing for 3 to 5 minutes. Do not touch the buttons of the sensor while the firmware upgrade is applied.

Once the new firmware is installed, the sensor starts and you can see the startup screen on it.

Now back on the YuKik App, you can start another sync process using the Synchronize button, cause there may have another firmware to push onto the sensor. The complete upgrade process may required multiple upgrade cycle, so it requires to repeat the sync process.

Tap on the Synchronize button again until you no more have a popup message prompting for firmware upgrade. You'll then see the sync process go to the end.

Now, it's time to start to use your sensor as a watch and during soccer trainings or matches ... Then a new synchronization will gives you metrics related to your activities!
